Terms & Conditions of Trade

Payment of the booking deposit or granting access to the premises to commence work constitutes full deemed acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

1. Scope of Work, Wear & Permanent Staining

• Standard Definition: In accordance with NCCA and IICRC standards, a deep clean is strictly limited to extracting foreign soils, ingrained dirt, and unbonded residues.

• Mechanical Wear: Cleaning removes dirt, not physical wear. Carpet pile crushing or flattening and hard-floor dullness from scratched or worn sealers and wear layers are structural conditions extraction cannot reverse.

• Chemical Damage: Substances that have dyed, bleached, or acid-etched a surface (e.g., pet urine, artificial colourings, harsh chemicals) cause permanent material alteration. Restorative repair or replacement falls outside standard cleaning.

2. Pre-Existing Structural Defects

• RexClean accepts no liability for pre-existing defects revealed or dislodged during standard cleaning, including degraded, powdery, or hollow grout; loose or de-bonded tiles; un-glued LVT edges; weakened carpet backing; or loose transition strips.

3. Water Contact & Perimeter Surroundings

• Cleaning requires pressurised liquid rinse-extraction and mechanical perimeter agitation.

• RexClean accepts no liability for moisture swelling, ingress, or delamination on unsealed or water-sensitive materials (including raw or unsealed MDF kickboards, unsealed skirting boards, untreated timber, or unsealed expansion gaps).

• Minor superficial scuffs along perimeters and baseboards inherent to mechanical edge tooling are excluded from liability.

4. Furniture, Appliances & Breakables

• Technicians do not move electrical appliances, plumbed-in units, or heavy furniture. Any movement requested by the customer is strictly outside the contracted scope of work and undertaken entirely at the customer’s sole risk.

• Customers must clear all breakables, loose items, cables, and clutter from working areas prior to arrival. RexClean accepts no liability for damage to fragile items left within the operating area.

5. Site Access, Utilities & Parking

• The customer must provide continuous access to mains water, functional 240V electrical sockets, and safe, legal parking suitable for a commercial vehicle within working distance of the property.

• If work cannot proceed due to unavailable utilities or inaccessible parking, standard cancellation terms apply.

6. Drying Times & Ventilation

• Drying times depend directly on ambient temperature, humidity, and airflow.

• Following extraction, providing adequate heating and continuous ventilation to facilitate drying is the sole responsibility of the customer once technicians leave the premises.

7. Deposits, Payments & Cancellations

• Deposit: A 20% deposit is required to secure the booking date.

• Payment: The balance is due immediately upon completion on the day of service by card or cash.

• Multi-Stage Work: Part-payments may be scheduled in proportion to completed project phases.

• Cancellations: Customer cancellations incur a 10% administrative fee deducted from the deposit (remaining balance refunded). Full deposit refund if cancelled by RexClean.

• Quote Variations: RexClean reserves the right to amend pricing or withdraw quotes if site conditions differ materially from the initial assessment.

8. Photography & Media

• Documentation & Marketing: RexClean reserves the right to capture photographs and video of work in progress and finished results for quality records and promotional use.

• Privacy & Anonymisation: All media is strictly anonymised in compliance with UK data protection laws, focusing strictly on surfaces and omitting family photos, personal documents, vehicle registrations, or identifiable details.

• Opt-Out: Customers wishing to opt out of promotional media must notify RexClean prior to work commencing.
